These and many other elements need to be in place before you submit your manuscript for consideration to an agent or publisher. Below are the areas that Cherry-Ann will work on to bring your document up to publishing standards.

Evaluation and critique:

The main task when evaluating your work(s) is to thoroughly read through the entire document. Thereafter, you will receive a summary outlining any weaknesses with suggestions for necessary revisions to correct and tighten your document.

Content Copyediting:

This is the level of editing most commonly called for once you have finished your manuscript. It is critical at this point that standardize grammar, spelling, format, punctuation, characterization problems, plot holes and other mechanics of style are checked, as one gets "cross-eyed" after mulling over documents over a period of time. The above, as well as consistency of facts will be checked.

Editing - Structural:

Structural editing, too, is of paramount importance. Lack of structure in any written work shows your weakness as a writer. The purpose of a structural edit is to ensure there is logical organization of your content, your plot development is compelling and engaging, and the writing is clear and concise etc.

Editing - Stylistic:

We all have a unique voice and that includes you. When editing your work, I will respect that to maintain your uniqueness. Without going against English conventions, I will clarify meaning, eliminate unnecessary jargon, redundant usage and repetitiveness to bring out your distinct style that may include adjusting dialogue to suit your characters if writing fiction, for instance.

Proofreading:

Proofreading is, often times, mistaken for copyediting, it's actually a separate entity. Proofing concerns other elements. For instance, checking for consistency and accuracy. Other elements such as: page numbering, page, word and end-of-line breaks, level heads, headers and footers, checking table positioning, images and art work and overall line-by-line contrast with your original document.

Fees:

Fees are dependant on the level of editing that is required. Click here for fee breakdown. This is a PDF file. Should you experience any problems downloading, please contact Writetastic Solutions.
